Every once in a while I come across something rather spectacular in the BDSM erotic literature world. Such is the case of Torrid Girl's "Baby Steps", a delightful little tale that brushes against the darker side of the BDSM genre that I generally don't write about. For those readers who prefer something a bit more risque, with incest and some questionable ages, I definitely recommend "Baby Steps", available for free from the BDSM Library.

In Baby Steps we follow along with a young school girl who is practically trembling at the knees in fear of her father's reaction to her infraction of being just a few minutes late getting home after school. In spite of her attempt to sneak into the house, her father stops her and proceeds to chastise her severely, moving from corporal punishment to something a little more erotic and frightening.

Torrid Girl's ability to bring the characters to life is outstanding and her use of present tense, rather than the more common and easier past tense style makes the entire story more immediate, as if you are standing there observing, unable to either participate, or for some - stop what is happening. Emotions flow through you and the exquisite detail Torrid Girl adds to the emotions expressed by her two characters are enough to make you love them and hate them.

It's rare for me to give a Ten rating to any story, but this is one of the few that definitely deserved one. Check out Torrid Girl's "Baby Steps" at the BDSM Library!
